Here are the books our Grangeville Library Board decided were OK to stay on the YA shelves for kids in the main room of our Library.
Our librarians took it upon themselves to create a new section titled, "NEW ADULT" All these books, plus more are now easy to find in this section. The section contains teen characters, but adult themes, so be careful kids & parents.
There are still NO RESTRICTIONS for ANY AGE.
Beware: even if minors share this contents with friends they are committing a crime. According to Idaho title 18, chapter 1515.
"Disseminating material harmful to minors is a misdemeanor punishable by confinement in the county jail not to exceed one (1) year, or by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both such fine and jail sentence."
Let's protect kids by re-categorising these books to the adult shelves, pending parent approval. Do NOT BAN these books, simply protect children's innocence.
